A Kauaiian Wedding

Aloha! I’ve been back from Hawaii for over a week now and in total denial about being back in the “real world”.  I’d give alot to be back there in Paradise, eating Hawaiian food to my heart’s content! Alas, I don’t think I’ll be moving there anytime soon :)

The main purpose of our vacation was to celebrate with our friends, Richard and Sue, as they tied the knot on the stunning island of Kauai. Nearly all of the guests arrived on Monday, so Rich and Sue opted to host their wedding the day after, on Tuesday. That way everyone could enjoy the rest of their trip and do as they pleased.

Gorgeous ceremony site on the lawns of the Westin Princeville

I adored their ceremony programs, with the cover featuring a beautiful picture from their engagement shoot with Chicago photographer, Jennifer Kathryn

The gentlemen standing at attention (that’s my hubby, Groomsmen #2). One thing I was slightly scratching my head about was why the wedding planner (a Kauai local) had the guys standing on the left side of the ceremony arch instead of on the right side, as we normally see here on the “mainland”. Maybe it’s a Hawaiian thing?  P1010760

I love this shot! I was impressed with my camera’s zoom, as I was sitting in the 3rd or 4th row.P1010774

The infamous bridal-party-walking-forward shot. I think I’m gonna be a wedding photographer now… KIDDING!!P1010811

Probably my favorite shot of the whole wedding… it looks like Sue has some Hawaiian secret service agents carrying her train :)

Wedding Eye Candy

I’m headed to Hawaii today for 8 days of blissful vacation and to attend a friend’s destination wedding! We have been looking forward to this trip for months, so I am SO excited! Not to mention… I need a break! Wedding season is exhausting  :)

But before I leave, I thought I’d leave you with some wedding eye-candy: here are a few teaser pics from my last two weddings (taken by yours truly, obviously)! Stay tuned for pro pics later this month…

Happy 3 Year Anniversay, My Love!

Three years ago, I married my best friend and my favorite person in the world. We’ve traveled,  started businesses, bought our first home together, adopted our first dog… eventually we’ll move on to babies (not quite yet!) and some day grow old together. I can’t imagine sharing my life and this journey with anyone else!
