Allison & Brad's Lake Geneva Wedding - Part 2

Well, hello there! This post with the second half of Allison & Brad's Lake Geneva wedding is super overdue! But we would be remiss if we didn't share the lovely photos by Lisa Mathewson of their beautiful reception at Lake Geneva Country Club. As a refresher, here are the photos from the first half of their wedding day, including their ceremony. And now... onto the pictures!

Since the Lake Geneva Country Club is situated right on Lake Michigan, they have their own dock. So what better way to arrive at their wedding reception in style, except by boat?! They chartered a vintage yacht, The Polaris, and luckily, the rain held out that afternoon.

The storm clouds were out in full force, but stayed away until everyone was inside for dinner! The clouds made for amazing photos. (And boy, was the thunder storm that evening EPIC)

We visited multiple Lake Geneva wedding reception venues in the area, but we looked no further after finding the Lake Geneva Country Club. It was the perfect wedding venue to fit their 210 guests, including a beautiful dining room with amazing windows overlooking the Lake, rustic wood beams, delicious food, and a separate hall for dancing with high ceilings and an enormous fireplace.

Cocktail hour was outside on the lawn, and all of the guests congregated outside to welcome Allison & Brad to their wedding reception.

Allison envisioned an all white and cream palette, with mahogany fruitwood chiavari chairs to tie in with the dark wood beams. We chose the very talented team at Frontier Flowers of Fontana to bring her vision to life. Massive sprays of Hawaiian dendrobium orchids trailed delicately from the tall centerpieces in garnier vases. Other flowers included peonies, hydrangeas, garden roses, lisianthus, and spray roses, accented with hundreds of votive candles and pillar candles. White linens and a natural jute runner complimented the classic white tablescape.

This classic four-tier wedding cake by Julie Michelle Cakes was absolutely delicious and made quite a statement as guests entered the room... especially when given the royal floral treatment by Frontier Flowers. A last minute hit of inspiration gave us the idea to wrap one of the floral wreaths previously used on the church doors at the base of the cake for a truly grand presentation.

Thank you, Allison & Brad, for letting me share in your amazing wedding weekend in Lake Geneva! (Love this last photo with Allison's twin sister, Emily, who's wedding I helped plan in 2011!)
