Hannah & Kevin's Ovation Wedding - Part 1

Hannah and Kevin's wedding was a long time in the making! They came to me in June of 2015 with ideas of a "warm, unconventional, social, and smooth [flowing]" wedding, but opted to wait until May 2017, because that's when their dream venue next had availability! Hannah and Kevin fell in love with Ovation, a modern, industrial loft space that is off the beaten path, and yet highly sought after.

So they waited! Finally their wedding day arrived... and the team at Studio Finch was on hand to capture every wonderful moment, and every fun detail. Their day was full of vibrant, lush florals and greenery, candles and lanterns galore, a ceremony that embraced community, and a touch of "The Office".

The team at Davenport Designs crafted the perfect florals that we envisioned... Hannah's gorgeous hand-tied bridal bouquet included wine colored roses, peach ranunculous, mango calla lilies, green hydrangea, and tons of loose greenery for a soft, organic look. Kevin's boutonniere had a coordinating mango calla, wine colored spray rose, and greenery. The team at Davenport Designs crafted the perfect florals that we envisioned... Their First Look took place on the dramatic stairwell at the Sofitel Hotel, where they got ready. Kevin is a hat guy, and rarely seen without one. So on his wedding day, it would only be fitting that he wore a hat! (In fact, the one time during our year and a half collaboration, I think I only saw him once without a hat... and I almost didn't recognize him!)

Their pre-wedding photos are some of my favorite ones, ever!  It was a chilly day in early May, but Hannah braved the cold lake breeze all for the sake of these amazing photos at Olive Park! Thank goodness she was a trooper! Better yet, they didn't have a wedding party, so it was quick and easy getting them from spot to spot without an entourage in tow!

Stay tuned for their fun wedding reception photos!
