Our Week in Italy: Rome, Part 1

Happy December!

Italy has been on my “must visit before we have kids!!” list for as long as I can remember, so I was excited to check this off! We spent 3 exciting days in Rome and 3 magical days in Florence, one of the must beautiful cities I have ever visited. I must say that we were so lucky to encounter sunny (though chilly) days the entire week! Here are just a FEW of my favorite photos from the trip (it was really hard to narrow them down!).

First up: Rome!

The magnitude of the Colosseum was impossible to capture on Camera!

The interior; you can see the underground tunnels where they kept the gladiators, animals, etc.

I love this shot of St. Peter’s Basilica in the distance … drat that ugly metal thing in the way!

The Trevi Fountain at night… you better believe we threw a few coins in there, so hopefully we’ll return one day, per old legend.

Outside St. Peter’s Basilica, one of the grandest Cathedrals on earth.

Halfway thru the INSANE line to get passed the metal detectors, which extended a full block behind us as well!

Congrats, Chris & Donna! Thanks for My Louboutins!

I am SUPER excited for Chris & Donna’s wedding tomorrow! Why all the special excitement? Because they are amongst our closest friends… in fact, my husband is the Best Man! Chris and Borton have been BFFs since they were like 11 or 12 years old, and we’re so excited to share this day with them. And we can’t wait to celebrate with a roomful of our closest friends!

I think this picture from their engagement shoot perfectly encapsulates Chris and Donna:

And as a little extra sumthin’ sumthin’ to show their appreciation for my help… they surprised me with the most extravagant gift I could ever (or never!) have imagined!!!!! They said they wanted to get me something I would never buy for myself. And boy, were they were right… I could never have pulled the trigger on these babies.

Oh Yes… My Very. Own. Pair. of. CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTINS.
