Hitched: Irene & Adam’s Morton Arboretum Wedding – The Details

We left off after Irene and Adam’s intimate 11/11/11 (at 11AM!) wedding ceremony. Their reception was actually held the following evening at the Morton Arboretum’s Gingko Room, located inside the Visitor’s Room. And now I’d like to share with you their details.

As guests entered the Visitor’s Center, they were welcomed by two giant red Chinese banners and walked through a Chinese double happiness symbol for good luck, all created by Art of Imagination.

Some of the cutest escort cards, with paper cut-outs of the 12 Chinese zodiac symbols.

Instead of a guestbook, guests signed a traditional Chinese signing cloth.

Both Irene and Adam have a science background, so it was only natural that guests should sip the signature lychee martini cocktail from mini test tubes!

These beautiful red paper lanterns added ambiance and a Chinese touch to the beautiful room.

Menu cards designed by Spilled Ink Press looked elegant over the gold brocade napkins.

Elegant florals by Trudy’s Flowers.

Just about the cutest cake topper ever!! They love their dogs and actually met each other at a dog park!

Irene’s mom planned the most spectacular candy table… guests went CUH-RAZY over it!

Adam is a chemist, and brewed his own beer favors and printed the most adorable custom labels… AMAZING!
