Vanessa & Rob's Prairie Production Wedding
Happy Monday! Today we are sharing Vanessa & Robbie's lovely wedding at Prairie Productions, a minimalistic blank space loft venue in Chicago's West Loop area. Vanessa and Robbie came to Sweetchic Events as two, very busy, Chicago transplants, who wanted help planning their clean, modern, and timeless wedding with warm, rustic touches. They envisioned a modern venue and bringing in wooden accents, lots of greenery, and simple white flowers. With a stellar vendor team, and This is Feeling Photography there to capture all of the details and moments, we achieved just that!

This lovely chalkboard sign draped with lush, seasonal greenery welcomed guests to the wedding venue... they definitely knew they were at the right place!
Prairie Productions is known for its unique, all-white interior, soaring high ceilings, hanging paper lanterns, and huge south facing windows that let in ALL that perfect late-afternoon light. Vanessa and Robbie held their ceremony in the striking main room, and were married under a rustic, birch wood chuppah, enhanced with willow branches and greenery, created by Vale of Enna.
Vanessa and Robbie were married by a family friend, but they incorporated Jewish traditions that were important to Vanessa and her family. Important Jewish rituals that included signing a Ketubah (a Jewish marriage contract of sorts), getting married under the chuppah, reading of the Seven Blessings, and breaking of the glass at the end of the ceremony (Mazel Tov!). And they also did a Unity Lighting ceremony.
The dinner reception is where we really brought in the organic and rustic touches! Guests dined on wooden farm tables and sat on French Country chairs both with a natural walnut colored stain. The farm tables were lined with fresh moss, succulents, bud vases of white dahlias and white peonies, and small mason jars with votive candles were wrapped in twine for an extra hand-made touch. Vanessa and Robbie dined under their chuppah which magically turned into an arch, thanks to the Vale of Enna team!
Vanessa is an Los Angeles native, so her wedding could not be complete without Sprinkles Cupcakes (an LA staple!)
